Research Interests

My research focuses on meiofaunal organisms living in the the water-filled spaces between grains of sand. In particular, I'm interested in the morphology, systematics, and biogeography of primitive worm groups such as the Acoela, Nemertodermatida and the Gnathostomulida. My most recent work was with Seth Tyler and Wolfgang Sterrer on a NSF funded PEET (Partnership for Enhancing Expertise in Taxonomy) research project on Phylogeny of Lower Worms of the Meiofauna.
